Chair: Malcolm Hall

We are called to be in service in the name of Jesus.  We enter our "mission field" when we step out the door onto the doorstep of the church, but it also extends inside the building.  We care for our members, our family and friends, our community and beyond.
Prayer Chain The Prayer Chain offers immediate prayer in emergencies and takes the Apostle Paul's injunction to "pray without ceasing" to heart.  To put a prayer request on the Prayer Chain contact the church office; in an emergency contact the pastor.
Prayer and Care We care for our aging members through the Prayer and Care Team.
Food Pantries We support local food pantries run by St. Barnabas church, the Long Island Council of Churches (LICC) and the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN).
Mission Projects We support the Appalachia Service Project through our weekly mission offerings.  The Church School supports the Heifer Project, buying farm animals for families in need, with half of its weekly offering.
World Missions A portion of our offerings goes to support the mission work of the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church as well as the work of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).  We raised over $2,000 in aid for victims of the Indonesian tsunami and another $2,000 for victims of hurricane Katrina.
